Q: Where are you based ? 

A: We are a leading Independent Furniture Store based in Harolds Cross, South Dublin City.

Q: Is there Parking near Showroom? 

There is a 7 car parking bay directly in front of our showroom. Equally, there are a number of both Pay N Display Parking bays nearby & some free parking options depending upon time & day of week. More details on local Parking availability here.  

Q: Do you take in old furniture or buy 2nd hand furniture? 

A: No, we do not provide house clearance service or buy in 2nd hand furniture from the Public. . 

Q: Can you take away my old furniture? 

A: No, we sadly don’t have the space & resources to dispose of your old furniture. We recommend if it is in good condition to donate old furniture.

Q: Do you provide a Home Delivery Service? 

A: Yes - As one of Dublins leading Independent Furniture Shops we provide a full Furniture Delivery Service for clients in Dublin &  Nationwide throughout Ireland.

Q: How much is charged for delivery?

A: Given recent cost increases we have had to introduce modest delivery charges which will be applied at Checkout or in-store. 

Under 30 KGs a delivery charge of €10 is applied - this covers nationwide delivery of most small to medium sized items .   

For items over 30 KGs - 50 KGs ie Medium sized cabinets - €50

Large Bulky items (Wardrobes/Tables etc)  - €80.00

Q: How long will delivery take once I have placed my order ? 

A: This can depend on the time of day & day of week we receive confirmed order.

For Small items under 30 KG (bought on-line or in-store ) we partner with a local logistics company that provides a Next Day Nationwide Delivery Service   we can generally despatch within 24 hours - with expected delivery 48 hrs from placing of order. 

For Larger Furniture items (Large Cabinets, Dining Tables etc)  we generally manage these ourselves - For this we try to keep our delivery days to Wednesday or Saturday. 

Q: Do you ship outside of Ireland?

A: Yes - send an email of the products you are interested in, with your delivery address & Zip Code & we will quote accordingly.

Q: Can I collect the products that I order online?

A: Yes, we operate a full 'Click & Collect' Service - this option can be availed of at checkout online or contact us on 01- 537 0085.

Q: Can I put a deposit down on a piece of furniture?

A: We have partnered with Humm Payments. Purchases of between €80 - €499 can be secured completely interest-free, over a 6 month period through Humm .More can be found out about instalment rates & low cost purchase plans HERE.

Q: What if I want to return an item - Returns & Refunds? 

A: We understand - furnishing a home can be a daunting prospect & given the unique nature of our pieces, it can be hard to fully imagine how they will fit in your home setting. 

We want all our customers to be super happy with any piece selected from Home Street Homes range & to cherish it for years to come. 

If you have received a piece from Home Street Home that just does not work you fully entitled to return to us within 14 days. For More details   

Q: What type of wood are the tables?

A: We use a mixture of solid reclaimed woods only. Woods vary depending upon what reclaimed wood is available for that production batch. Woods vary from Mango,Teak, Neem,Sheesham, Sadalwood.  

Typically originally used in the construction of buildings etc & then salvaged & reclaimed for re-use in our productions. We would also use a lot of old reclaimed door panels, window frames etc. 

We also natural storm felled tree slabs locally in Ireland  - Spalted Beech, Sycamore, Ash, Oak & other native species, to make our own live edge tables in-house. 

All the products are solid wood through and through. No MDF or plywood in any production of the furniture.

Q: How do you care for and maintain the furniture?

A: We recommend using natural wax for ongoing care. Beeswax will keep the shine & richness of the wood. 

Q: Are you a 100% Sustainable ?

A: Certainly all of our Furniture is made from 100% Reclaimed Woods & all of our craft supply partners use sustainable materials & methods only.

A 90% + majority of our offering are handmade crafted pieces - using simple handcrafting tools with low energy outputs. 

We are tired of Large Corporation 'Greenwashing' that seems to be so prevalent these days. 

Whilst all of our range is sustainable materials & handcrafted methods, not all of our processes are.  So in truth, no, currently, as yet, we are not 100% Sustainable - though we are 100% striving to be. 

For us, giving people a better choice of furniture crafted from reclaimed woods & other upcycled materials, over mass produced furniture made from virgin woods, veneers, is a small, but important step in the right direction. 

As in our personal lives, there are many challenges & contradictions on the journey to being a truly 100 % environmentally friendly business.

We reuse all packaging we receive for our own customer deliveries, but we currently have a 2nd hand Diesel Van for deliveries.

Quite simply, as a young, small independent Irish business, we currently don't have the financial resources to fund an Electric Van for deliveries. 

We have our own allotment to grow our veg but we are not 100% Vegan...the list goes on! 

Q: Do you provide bespoke design service?

A: We generally focus on our own designs & productions & do not offer a full on custom design service.

However, we can provide customisations to some of our own range.

For example, if you wanted one our Dining tables in a specific length / size, we can include in our next production run. You can expect a 3-4 month lead time for custom size requests. 50% Deposit payment required. 

We can supply custom 'Live Edge' Dining Tables - Woods vary depending upon availability/suitability - species vary from Beech/Sycamore/Oak - all kiln dried & sourced locally in Ireland. Always best to enquire directly.

 Q: Do you sell gift cards? 

A: Yes, you can buy online or instore.
